An average of more than 50 million ads are available in numerous categories – from children\’s supplies to electronics to real estate. With more than 36 million users per month, Kleinanzeigen has the widest reach of all online selling platforms in the country. Most of the items traded on Kleinanzeigen are second-hand. In this way, users make an active contribution to sustainability. The Kleinanzeigen market allows companies the opportunity to easily offer their services online. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a leading global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.

What you’ll do & Who you are

Job/Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Head of Media Sales to lead our advertising sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in digital media sales, strong existing relationships with key agencies and clients in the German market, and in-depth knowledge of programmatic display advertising and data-driven solutions. A commitment to promoting sustainable digital advertising practices is desired.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals
  • Set and oversee financial goals in cooperation with the sales analytics team
  • Establish Kleinanzeigen as a relevant media player by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with top agencies and direct clients
  • Drive adoption of our media and advertising solution including programmatic display and data products
  • Collaborate with business development, product and tech teams to enhance our advertising offerings

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in digital media sales, ideally with a focus on programmatic display
  • Proven experience of leadership and sales team management
  • Established network of contacts within major media agencies and advertisers in Germany
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising technologies and data-driven targeting
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce (CRM tool) desired
  • Strong Knowledge of sustainable digital advertising practices and industry trends including Retail Media desired
  • Business proficiency in English and German
