We are currently looking for a highly motivated System Integration Test Engineer (M/F/D) to join our R&D team in Berlin . The System Integration Test Engineer is responsible for performing the regression and integration tests for L1/L2 network devices with strong cryptography.

Principle duties and essential functions

1. Test Planning and Case Design: Create test plans and develop detailed test cases to ensure automated comprehensive system integration coverage for L1 and L2 network devices with strong cryptography.
2. Test Environment Setup and Execution: Configure, maintain, and execute integration tests.
3. Defect Identification and Documentation: Detect, log, and document bugs or issues, collaborating with developers to resolve integration problems.
4. Automation and Regression Testing: Implement test automation and perform regression testing to ensure ongoing functionality during development cycles.
5. Reporting and Documentation: Provide test reports and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and system behavior throughout the integration process.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

1. 2+ years of experience in system integration testing.
2. Experience with automated testing tools (Robot Framework or similar).
3. Knowledge of optical networking and/or Layer 2 (Ethernet) technologies.
4. Experience with version control systems (git) and DevOps principles (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
5. Previous experience with Linux and encryption solutions (OpenSSL, …).
6. Capable of working independently on the assigned design activities with minimal supervision.
7. Collaborative and good communication skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills.
