Location: Advantest Europe GmbH, Böblingen.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a test and automation engineer to join our performance test team. You will work in a small, focused team collaborating closely with other teams within Advantest and its partners to ensure the V93000 SOC test system meets the performance expectations of our customers. You will be a member of a self‑organized agile team responsible for monitoring the performance of the V93000 SOC test system, detecting performance issues before they affect a customer, and developing and improving tools and test cases to measure, track, visualize, report, and analyze performance‑relevant characteristics of the system. You will perform performance analyses and collaborate with development teams to improve the system software of the V3000 tester, especially in anticipation of the large test programs of the coming device generations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s or master\’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Good knowledge of tools used for automation, e.g., Jenkins or scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system
• Familiarity with the V93000 SOC test system and the SmarTest software
• Team player with a desire to work in cross‑functional, international teams
• Willingness to take responsibility for an area of activity within the performance team
• Very good communication skills in English
• Preferred: Understanding of digital electronics and semiconductor testing
• Experience with agile software development in large organizations
• Good documentation and presentation skills
• Knowledge of web development and database design (SQL and NoSQL)
• German language skills (preferred)
