The Test & Release Team Manager leads the ASV Test & Release organization and is responsible for testing, release management, and customer deliveries. The role combines people leadership, strategic development, and hands-on execution, offering the opportunity to shape and grow a high-performing team.
Leadership & Organization
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Release Managers, Test Engineers, and Test Automation Engineers across sites.
- Define and execute the Test & Release strategy aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps.
- Drive organizational growth, capability development, and resource planning.
- Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Architects, Product Managers, and Customer Support.
Testing, Release & Customer Delivery
- Define and execute the test strategy for ASV products.
- Plan and coordinate testing, software releases, patches, hotfixes, and customer deliveries.
- Integrating from multiple development streams into quality releases every sprint.
- Ensure sufficient validation coverage and release readiness.
- Continuously improve testing, release management, and deployment processes.
- Ensure customer feedback and field issues are reflected in testing and release planning.
- Ensure predictable, high-quality software deliveries.
Test Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Define and steer the test automation roadmap.
- Support the adoption of automated testing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement based on quality metrics and customer feedback.
Hands-On Contribution
- Actively support testing, release coordination, and customer delivery activities.
- Contribute technical expertise during critical project phases.
- Act as escalation point for release-critical issues and delivery risks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Release Management, DevOps, or Software Delivery.
- Initial leadership experience and strong potential to further develop people and organizations.
- Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, software delivery, and test automation.
