As a Project Manager, you own the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects. You will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver planning projects.
You will have a background in building planning and design project management and experience in the delivery of a range of multidisciplinary projects from the public and private sectors in Germany. You will be familiar with working in large cross-regional multidisciplinary teams on projects at all stages of the project lifecycle including development from feasibility to detailed design and construction.
Responsibilities:
- Project management including stakeholder schedule and contract management
- Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
- Preparing and maintaining schedules including dependencies and resources
- Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
- Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
- Managing stakeholders taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
- Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
- Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
- Business development opportunities with existing and new clients including cross-selling opportunities are identified and acted upon
- Manage the delivery of project management team outputs in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
- Mentorship of junior project managers
Qualifications:
- Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline. Engineering or Architectural background preferred
- Experience in managing large architecture and planning projects in Germany. Minimum 5 years
- Proficiency with regard to German market requirements and regulations such as HOAI VOB
- Experience in managing large delivery teams from different geographies
- Full contractual proficiency in German and English languages
- 3 days per week office attendance in Essen
- Occasional travel to project sites and clients\‘ offices
