Mission Description
As a key member of the global Safran Group, we need an Accountant Accounts Payable (all genders) for our Finance team. The role is unlimited full‑time, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable in cooperation with the local procurement department, including master data maintenance.
- Provide financial support for internal travel management and prepare statistical reports.
- Prepare VAT advance returns, EC sales lists and provide related statistical reports.
- Monitor and execute payment runs, process payments and monitor internal controls in line with business objectives.
- Support the senior accountant in monthly reporting and tax‑related accounting activities.
- Prepare data for annual financial statements and tax returns.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification as an Accountant, Tax Consultant or a similar role with strong financial knowledge and several years’ experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
- Experience in financial reporting and support of monthly and annual closing activities.
- Knowledge of German taxation, particularly VAT, CIT and Trade Tax is a plus.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and German.
