Auditor / Safety Officer - Ground Operations (m/f/x)

AeroLogic is a modern cargo airline based at Leipzig/Halle Airport. It was founded in 2007 as a joint venture of Lufthansa Cargo and DHL Express. With a very modern fleet of 22 Boeing 777F, AeroLogic mostly serves destinations in Asia and the USA. AeroLogic has daily connections to Hong Kong and several other destinations like Bangkok, Singapore, Shanghai, and Chicago.

For the Flight Safety and Compliance Department, AeroLogic is looking for a:

Flight Safety Expert / Auditor / Safety Officer – Ground Operations (m/f/x)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance Monitoring

• Independent preparation, implementation, and documentation of audits/inspections in the areas of Ground Operations and Security.
• Follow up of corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits or safety reporting processes and verification of their implementation.
• Support the revision of manuals, procedures, and checklists within the department.

Safety Management

• Processing and assessing of ground safety occurrence reports.
• Identify hazards evolving from occurrence reports and if necessary, publish mitigations by means of safety recommendations.
• Lead a safety investigation of incidents and occurrences or be an active part of the investigation team.
• Assess the safety impact related to the introduction of operational changes, new technologies or for specific occasions.
• Create and issue internal safety publications.
• Support the administration of the Emergency Response Plan.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have:

• Degree in an aviation or transport related education, or equivalent practical knowledge and skills (at least 5 years experience).
• Be able to receive a ZÜP.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluency in German and English written and spoken.

Preferable:

• Work experience in the areas of compliance monitoring and/or safety management.
• Qualified aviation auditor and/or risk assessor.
• Ground Operations and/or Security experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of related regulations (EASA, IATA, …).
