Why This Role Matters
As our Freelance PR Manager, you will play a key role in shaping how aescolab is perceived by the public, media and industry stakeholders. You will work closely with our CEO and Marketing Lead, developing and executing PR initiatives that strengthen our brand narrative, build trust and position aescolab as a leading voice in preventive health.
You will manage end-to-end PR activities — from media outreach to story development and press coordination — and help ensure that our growth, partnerships, and product innovations are communicated clearly, credibly and consistently.
Your Tasks
- Develop and execute PR strategies that build visibility and credibility for aescolab in the German-speaking market
- Draft, refine and distribute press releases, statements, founder quotes, and media kits
- Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, editors and relevant media outlets
- Identify PR opportunities including interviews, expert commentary, bylined articles and event participation
- Manage incoming media requests and coordinate responses with internal stakeholders
- Support the creation of PR narratives around product launches, partnerships, funding announcements, and key milestones
- Monitor press coverage, prepare reports and recommend data-driven improvements
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Lead to ensure alignment between PR, brand and content efforts
- Contribute to copy in both English and German, ensuring clarity, professionalism and consistency with aescolab’s tone
- Bring forward creative, proactive PR ideas that support our strategic goals
Your Profile
- Experience in PR, communications or journalism — ideally with exposure to startups, health or tech
- Strong network or ability to build new media relationships in DACH
- Excellent English and native or bilingual German skills (written & spoken)
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple topics in parallel and deliver reliably in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interest in health, preventive medicine and storytelling
- Structured concise communication style with a focus on accuracy and credibility
- Comfortable working remote, hybrid or on-site in BerlinAmbitious proactive and motivated to help shape a growing brand
