The role:
As a Social Media Manager in the Global Salon Communication department, you are responsible for the conception and control of all global social media activities for the brands of the Kao Salon Division, which includes beloved names such as Goldwell, KMS, Varis, and Kerasilk. Together with our great PR & Communications team, you\’ll bring our social media for multiple brands to the next level. New challenges, campaigns, or content? This is a permanent, full-time role which is offered on a hybrid basis out of any of our European offices.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement global Social Media strategies for the brands of Kao Salon Division in strong collaboration with global Communications, global Brand Development, and regional Stakeholders.
- Development of international Social Media concepts for all major brand and product initiatives.
- Conception of social media content plans for global and local social media channels and creation of a monthly/annual social media calendar.
- Take over the expansion of the relevant global social media channels and development of clear KPIs.
- Support regions in the execution. Monitor international rollouts based on established communication guidelines in key markets. Monitoring the effectiveness of international brand and product related Social Media campaigns.
- Handling & Management of external agencies.
- Support the Head of Global Communication in the development of PR concepts and Press Kits in collaboration with an external PR Agency.
What you will need:
- Degree in Online Marketing/ Communication or business management with a focus on Online and Social Media or an equivalent qualification with respective work experience.
- Professional experience as a Social Media Manager in the beauty or lifestyle industry or at an agency with relevant experience in the beauty/ lifestyle business and in an international environment (3-6 years).
- Excellent knowledge and experience of various communication channels: Social Media, Online, Blogs & PR (3-6 years).
- Ability to work conceptually and strategically with extensive social media and social content management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of all Social Media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
- Experience with content creation for social media that is target-group-oriented, search engine optimized, and maximizes website traffic.
- Well versed in social media management tools.
- Great affinity for the digital world. Always up to date: regular exposure to rapidly changing social media trends as well as trends and changes of individual platforms. High affinity for the beauty and lifestyle sector.
- Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully and entrepreneurially as well as to work in a team; organizational skills and independence are a matter of course for you, as well as the willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Excellent English and German knowledge, written and spoken.
