Senior Consultant Climate strategies and sustainability management – AFRY Management Consulting

Sustainability Consulting is further strengthening its position in the European and global market. As such, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Sustainability Consulting team in Berlin, to work globally in an international team and in the German market.

In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to make your contribution to the sustainability transformation within companies, diving deep into topics that are changing the corporate sustainability landscape and business strategy. You will be able to utilize AFRY’s position as a driving force of the energy transition and decarbonizing industries.

Your responsibilities

• Client and project management
• Involvement in refining our decarbonization service offering
• Representation of AFRY at events and membership platform (e.g. fairs, econsense Kompetenzprogramm Mittelstand)
• Support in the development and implementation of decarbonization/net zero strategies for clients in accordance with the requirements of SBTi, ISO14068 and other methodological approaches
• Emissions accounting based on GHG protocol, CCF/PCF taking into account Scope 1, 2 & 3 calculations
• Support with climate reporting according to CSRD, CDP, etc.

Qualifications

Your profile

You have completed your Master’s degree with focus on business, engineering, sustainability, environmental management or a comparable course of study.

In at least 3 years of practical experience in the area of sustainability or strategy consulting, you gained a profound knowledge in decarbonization/net zero strategy development and implementation.

You have experience in CSRD/ESRS, GHG protocol, SBTi, ISO14064 as well as in CCF/PCF creation in your project work. You enjoy working with existing regulations and are curious and confident to master future challenges in this field.

Based on your analytical skills and an affinity for numbers, you manage to master complex problems and are able to break down and communicate solutions to wider audiences on all levels.

Due to our international collaboration, we expect you to have fully proficient written and verbal English communication and a conversational level of German language.
