About the role We are looking for a
Utilities Engineer
to support the
design ,
operation ,
optimization , and
reliability
of
Clean and Black Utilities
systems within pharmaceutical / biotech manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure reliable operation and performance of Clean & Black Utilities systems (PW, WFI, clean steam, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, heating/cooling, gases, etc.).
Support commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up activities.
Manage maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure GMP compliance.
Lead investigations, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
Support CAPEX projects and utility system upgrades.
Ensure documentation is maintained according to GMP and internal standards.
Profile
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Process, Industrial, Utilities, or related field).
Experience in pharma, biotech, life sciences, or other GMP-regulated environments.
Solid knowledge of Clean Utilities and Black Utilities systems.
Familiarity with GMP requirements, qualification/validation activities, and quality standards.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
Fluent in German and in English.
