For a highly innovative translational research organization in the field of cancer immunotherapy, we are looking for a Computational Scientist (gn) with a strong background in computational genomics, immuno-oncology and antigen discovery.
This role is not about science for science's sake. The focus is on turning computational findings into therapeutically relevant targets and ultimately contributing to the development of new personalized and broadly applicable cancer immunotherapies.
TASKS
You will work at the interface of computational biology, cancer research and therapeutic development. Using complex genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic datasets, you will identify and prioritize novel tumor-specific antigens and help translate these discoveries into experimentally validated therapeutic concepts.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic and proteomic datasets
- Identification and prioritization of novel tumor-specific antigens and therapeutic targets
- Development and application of bioinformatics workflows using Python and/or R
- Close collaboration with experimental scientists on candidate validation
- Independent scientific project work from hypothesis generation through validation and translation
- Contribution to publications, patents, grant proposals and translational R&D projects
PROFILE
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Immuno-Oncology, Cancer Biology or a related field
- Strong background in cancer genomics, tumor immunology, neoantigens, cancer vaccines or immunotherapy
- Hands-on experience with computational data analysis and NGS datasets
- Good programming skills in Python and/or R
- Scientific curiosity, independence and the ability to work across disciplines
- Ideally experience with long-read sequencing, transcript variants, proteomics, mass spectrometry or multi-omics approaches
- We are looking for a scientist who not only understands the data, but also the biological and therapeutic relevance behind it.
BENEFITS
You will join an environment where computational discoveries can move beyond publication and directly contribute to new therapeutic approaches, patents and clinical development.
The role offers scientific freedom, access to state-of-the-art technologies and close interaction between computational, experimental and translational teams.
Exceptional candidates directly after their PhD are also encouraged to apply.
