Associate VP, EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India) Logistics
This key leadership role is part of Agilent Technologies’ Global Logistics Leadership Team, reporting to the VP of Global Logistics. The position leads a customer‑centric, highly optimized, and innovative logistics organization for Agilent’s EMEAI Supply Chain operations. It manages a team of approximately 140 logistics professionals and drives digital transformation, supply chain service, resilience and reliability in the region.
Responsibilities & Areas of Focus
- Lead the EMEAI Logistics to meet the high standards of customer expectations, operational metrics and financial goals
- Own the strategy and execution for logistics operations in EMEAI, moving product from warehouse to customers
- Formulate and implement logistics strategies to support business growth while improving supply‑chain service, resilience and reliability
- Implement strategy in alignment with shifts in divisional sourcing and customer mix
- Develop and implement best practices to drive efficiency, reduce cost, and improve service
- Manage complexity in a rapidly changing operating environment with agility
- Work cross‑functionally to monitor and adjust capacity as needed
- Manage logistics service providers and ensure ongoing carrier and warehouse compliance to committed KPIs, operating standards and SLAs
- Collaborate with Service Fulfillment, Americas and AsiaPac Logistics to implement seamless, best‑in‑class supply‑chain processes, including cross‑border logistics and warehouse operations
- Support and implement digital transformation across the supply‑chain logistics organization by selecting, assessing and deploying innovative technologies
- Collaborate with regional business partners to achieve delivery, quality and cost KPIs including Customer‑Required Delivery (CRDD), Defect on Arrival (DEFOA), inventory accuracy, and logistics cost as a % of revenue improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain / Logistics or Life Sciences discipline. An advanced degree is highly desirable
- Minimum of 7 years in senior operations leadership with increasing responsibility in supply chain, logistics, distribution and warehousing in a multinational company
- Strong analytical skills with acute business acumen
- Strong knowledge of supply‑chain technology
- Experience managing supply chain in a regulated Medical Device environment
- Experience in digital technologies such as automated manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence / machine learning is preferred
- Experience driving significant process improvement using Lean and Six‑σ concepts and methodologies
- Familiarity with Agilent’s markets, products and customer business needs is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a multicultural, diverse team
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, data‑driven decision making
- Position is preferably based in Waldbronn, Germany
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis
