Team Overview
The Design team, based in our Bangkok office, is a small, collaborative group of product designers and researchers focused on building Agoda’s digital experiences. We value growth, craftsmanship, and the opportunity to influence product strategy.
Experience Requirements & Role Expectations
- 6+ years of full‑time product design experience for digital or web‑based products; in‑house experience preferred.
- Create visually stunning, intuitive, and delightful interfaces, delivering pixel‑perfect UI and seamless interactions.
- Proficient in quantitative and qualitative research, including running user interviews, synthesizing findings, and generating actionable insights.
- Own the entire design process for a dedicated scrum from discovery to delivery, setting vision, defining UX, and ensuring high‑quality execution.
- Partner with Product Managers to shape vision and roadmap, balancing user needs with business goals.
- Manage multiple stakeholders within an agile development process.
- Strong communicator who articulates design rationale, influences stakeholders, and builds trust across disciplines.
- A portfolio that demonstrates design thinking, process, and solutions for web and mobile products.
Ideal Candidate (Additional Requirements)
- Intermediate‑to‑advanced Japanese language skills, including reading proficiency.
- Experience in an Online Travel Agency.
- Research experience within the Japanese market and ability to apply cultural insights to product decisions.
- Deep understanding of the Japanese online travel market.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Develop design solutions that align business objectives with customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and on‑time delivery of features.
- Test prototypes and hypotheses with users to collect actionable feedback.
- Present work to peers and leadership asynchronously and in person.
- Participate in weekly design critiques, workshops, all‑hands meetings, and team gatherings.
- Document design process and clearly articulate decisions.
- Champion consistency in UX design across Agoda’s expanding suite of products.
- Implement experiences that balance customer needs with business, content, and technology.
