Data Architect in Hamburg

AI Futures has been engaged by a leading European healthcare technology company to scale its healthcare intelligence platform across multiple European markets.

The company is using data to transform how healthcare organisations understand performance, make decisions and deliver better outcomes.

As the business continues to grow it is investing heavily in a modern, unified data foundation that can support analytics, AI, data products and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This is an exciting point in the company's journey. The platform is already operating at significant scale, and the next phase of growth requires a clear enterprise data architecture that can bring together increasingly complex data, products, teams and acquired businesses.

The role

We are looking for a Data Architect to define and evolve the future-state data architecture across the organisation.

You will sit at the intersection of:

Your focus will be on creating the architecture, standards and principles that ensure data is structured, interoperable, secure and trusted across the business.

As Data Architect, you will have significant ownership over the organisation's architectural direction and will act as a senior technical authority across distributed teams. You will be responsible for defining the roadmap from the current data landscape towards a scalable, unified and future-proof data platform.

You will:

• Define and maintain the target-state enterprise data architecture
• Create and drive the roadmap towards a unified data platform
• Establish standards for data modelling, integration, interoperability and storage
• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Define canonical data structures and consistent business definitions
• Provide architectural guidance to Data Engineering and platform teams
• Lead and contribute to architecture and design reviews
• Ensure governance, lineage, security, privacy and compliance are embedded into platform design
• Partner with Product, Platform, Data Governance and AI teams
• Evaluate data technologies and architectural trade-offs
• Establish patterns that improve consistency across teams
• Reduce fragmentation, complexity and technical debt
• Help create the foundations for scalable analytics, data products and AI
• Support the integration of acquired businesses into the wider data landscape
• Help shape the company's longer-term data architecture and platform strategy

This is a role for someone who wants genuine ownership of enterprise data architecture rather than simply producing models or diagrams in isolation.

You will have the opportunity to influence how a growing European healthcare technology organisation structures, governs and ultimately uses its data.

€115k Base Salary + Benefits.
