Are you interested in solving the gap between robotics simulation and physical hardware?
We're working with an ambitious European robotics company developing production-grade embodied AI and humanoid robotics. They're building a core engineering team and are looking for an experienced engineer to take ownership of the mathematical and simulation models that underpin the robot's physical design.
This is a highly technical role for someone who wants to work beyond simulation demos and contribute directly to hardware decisions, system performance and real-world deployment.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-fidelity URDF models and simulation environments as the engineering source of truth
- Perform static and dynamic analysis to derive torque, load and other critical hardware requirements
- Feed simulation results directly into mechanical and actuator design decisions
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to identify physical limitations before hardware is manufactured
- Develop simulation tools and methodologies to accelerate robotics development
- Design and execute simulation-based experiments to optimise kinematics, packaging and hardware configurations
- Support the development and deployment of classical and ML-based control systems
- Perform system identification, including model structure and parameter selection
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams
- Validate simulation models against physical test data and refine designs accordingly
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in robotics or a closely related field
- Deep understanding of Nvidia Omniverse & Nvidia Isaac Sim
- Deep understanding of classical physics and multi-body dynamics
- Strong experience with robotics simulation and system modelling
- Expertise with tools and environments such as MATLAB, Gazebo, MuJoCo and FEA
- Strong understanding of mechatronics and robotics control
- Experience with system identification
- Experience building virtual environments and conducting simulation-based experiments
- Understanding of both classical and ML-based control approaches
- Hands-on mindset with experience troubleshooting physical prototypes
- Ability to work across mechanical, electrical and software disciplines
- Strong communication skills and a focus on precision, reliability and real-world deployment
What's On Offer
- Opportunity to work on production-grade physical AI and robotics
- Direct influence over the mathematical and physical foundations of the robot
- Work closely with experienced robotics and technology leadership
- Significant ownership over simulation methodology and engineering standards
- Highly technical environment focused on real-world deployment rather than research demosPan-European engineering environment with a strong robotics focus
- Opportunity to join during a major phase of company and product development
If you're a robotics simulation engineer who wants your models to directly determine what gets built in the real world, this could be a very interesting opportunity.
