Robotics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer with deep expertise in SLAM, sensor fusion (EKF-based localization), navigation, and control. In this role, you will design and implement core autonomy software for our robotic platforms using ROS 2.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize SLAM and localization pipelines
• Develop sensor fusion systems using Extended Kalman Filters (EKF) or similar estimators
• Fuse data from LiDAR, IMU, wheel odometry, GPS, and cameras
• Build and maintain navigation and motion planning stacks
• Develop and tune control algorithms for mobile robots
• Implement robotics software using ROS 2 in C++ and Python
• Integrate and validate autonomy software on real robotic hardware
• Debug, profile, and improve system performance in real-world deployments
• Collaborate closely with perception, hardware, and systems teams

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on robotics experience
• Strong practical experience with:
• SLAM and localization
• Sensor fusion and state estimation
• EKF-based systems (e.g., robot_localization or custom EKFs)
• Navigation and motion planning
• Control systems (PID, kinematics, dynamics)
• Strong ROS 2 experience (nodes, TF, lifecycle, Nav2 integration)
• Excellent programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experience working with real robots and physical sensors
• Solid understanding of coordinate frames, transforms, and probabilistic estimation

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with UKF, factor graphs, VIO, or optimization-based methods
• Experience with Nav2, Behavior Trees, or custom planners
