As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will work closely with academia and industry to advance digital pathology. You will develop software for medical devices that aid cancer research and diagnostics, manage APIs and services, and lead projects to support data-intensive scaling and SaaS product improvements.

Where your expertise is needed

• Building infrastructure for large-scale medical image data processing
• Designing and developing services and core libraries for our SaaS platform
• Ensuring reliable, high-throughput data access for machine learning
• Maintaining and expanding data management infrastructure
• Leading initiatives and evaluating new technologies
• Taking ownership from inception to completion, aligned with business goals
• Collaborating with frontend and machine learning teams
• Performing code reviews for readability, design, and performance

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor\’s or Master\’s in a relevant field or extensive experience
• 4+ years of software development experience, preferably in a data-driven environment
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
• Experience with container orchestration (preferably Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of database systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code quality standards
• Self-motivated, organized, communicative, team-oriented

Ideally, you also have:

• Experience leading a technical team
• Experience with data processing systems
• Development in regulated environments
