Operations Integrator and Planner

About the Position:

This position is located in Headquarters United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), J3 Operations Directorate, Sensitive Activity Division. You will serve as a subject matter expert for integrating sensitive activity capabilities and other joint force capabilities within the geographic command, providing guidance, direction, and synchronization to the members internal and external of the directorate.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducting operational planning in support of operations such as special operations and sensitive activities etc., AND; 2) Developing concepts of operations integrating joint force and/or other specialized capabilities, AND; 3) Coordinating sensitive activities and enabling programs in cooperation with internal and/or external partners. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
