About the role

Are you a seasoned Financial Controller looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? We’re seeking a driven professional to join our Finance team in Berlin and play a key role in shaping our financial operations. In this position, you’ll take full ownership of group reporting and financial analysis across all Aira GmbH entities. You’ll also be instrumental in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Collaboration is central to this role—you’ll work closely with our finance team in Germany as well as our Finance HQ in Stockholm. Additionally, you’ll manage external relationships with auditors, ensuring compliance and best financial practices.

What you will be doing

• Prepare monthly group reporting for German entities in accordance with IFRS
• Financial analysis of accounts and reports
• Ensure statutory financial reports in accordance with HGB for German entities
• Coordinate with external service providers, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure regulatory and group compliance
• Identify and drive improvement initiatives for the accounting team to increase accuracy in reporting and ensure efficient ways of working
• Collaborate with Group Accounting to ensure alignment on reporting standards and processes

Your Profile

• You have a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally in combination with Big4 audit background or similar
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including HGB and IFRS reporting requirements
• Ideally, experience working in a local subsidiary of a larger international group
• Strong skills in MS Excel
• Experience from working with MS Dynamics / Business Central / Navision is considered an advantage
• Fluency in English and German
