Role Overview
Airswift is seeking a Construction Planner to support a major project within the energy / petrochemical sector. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing construction schedules, ensuring accurate representation of the installation timeline, and proactively identifying potential delays or risks to project execution. The Construction Planner will work closely with contractors, project teams, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective delivery of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules in alignment with overall project timelines
- Gather and consolidate schedule input from construction contractors, project management, and client teams
- Ensure accurate and consistent representation of installation and execution timelines
- Perform schedule analysis to identify risks, delays, and critical‑path impacts
- Provide early warnings of potential schedule deviations and propose mitigation strategies
- Communicate schedule sensitivities, risks, and progress updates to key stakeholders and decision‑makers
- Support planning activities across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases
- Conduct schedule impact analysis and support change‑management processes
- Prepare regular progress reports and planning deliverables
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within construction projects
- Proven experience in engineering‑related projects within the (petro)chemical, oil & gas, or energy sector
- Strong background working on complex, multidisciplinary EPC projects
- Experience working with major contractors or international operators is highly desirable
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of EPC processes (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
- Experience with schedule risk analysis and change management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with NetPoint is considered an advantage
