Job description On behalf of one of our partners, an industrial company based in Geneva, we are looking for an IT/OT Engineer, ideally with expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.

The OT Engineer responds to requests for studies and projects.

He/She participates in maintenance activities to optimize production processes and acts as expert in the OT domain.

Responsibilities Be in charge of designing or validating software, network, or system architectures within industrial environment taking into account cybersecurity measures.

Ensure the technical maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Collaborate with IT for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and applications.

Administer the technical computer park and the technical data related to computer systems.

Actively participate within project team for new installations.

Estimate the costs and duration to carry out the study and work.

Ensure interfaces with other relevant services.

Be a force for proposals in terms of OT and regarding external service providers.

Supervise the work of external companies relating to OT.

Provide support on long-term maintenance issues.

Carry out, maintain and improve the computer systems, in collaboration with other services.

Establish and/or actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

Standardize processes, operating and construction principles, and create or update standards relating to these subjects.

Technology monitoring, participating in and leading working groups.

Apply quality procedures and instructions related to their function.

Apply the standards and procedures in force within the department.

Solve problems using a combination of standard or modified procedures.

Increase agility of our processes to improve our customer services.

Education and experience Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering (OT and/or Automation) At least 5 years of experience in an OT environment.

Technical skills Mastering database languages (SQL…) or programming languages (C, C#, Java, VBA, Visual Basic. net, Delphi, Lab VIEW…) and web interface development (HTML, PHP, ASP, XML…) Strong knowledge in computer systems (Windows…) and networks (TCP/IP, Ethernet / CAN / Profinet…) Knowledge in project management in order to be able to lead a project.

Knowledge of methods for analyzing an IT project (UML, Merise, Rational Rose…) and quality control (Pareto, Six Sigma, Ishikawa…) as well as IT processes (ITIL) Having very good knowledge of industrial computing and information technologies as well as issues related to cybersecurity, as well as technical knowledge in mechanics, automation, automatics, home automation, and electronics.

Fluency (oral, written) in French and English Work permit Candidates must hold a valid Swiss work permit or be a citizen of Switzerland or a European Union member state.
