Role

As one of our first hires, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping both our product and technical direction, working closely with the founders from day one. You’ll enjoy true agency —owning the entire technical vision—and have the chance to develop taste by engaging directly with customers to understand what truly matters. Responsibilities

• Own high-impact projects: Take customer-facing AI-powered features from concept to production.
• Build agentic workflows: Design and build production-ready agentic workflows that equip agents with the right steps and context to automate even the most challenging construction processes.
• Tackle challenging data: Work with some of the most complex and unstructured multimodal data you’ve encountered, and take ownership of building, improving, and scaling our data pipelines.
• Experiment with cutting-edge AI: Explore novel approaches to streamline and enhance construction management workflows.

You will be working closely with Vinzenz (CTO) and Ann (CPO) who own tech and product respectively.

Tech Stack & Architecture

Our Stack: TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel, Supabase (PostgreSQL + vectors), LangChain/LangGraph, TanStack Query, shadcn, Cursor AI

Core Architecture: We use TypeScript across our full-stack Next.js application deployed on Vercel with serverless API routes and fluid compute, maintaining a single repository approach with shared types and utilities. We prioritize developer velocity and shipping speed over cost optimization to deploy instantly and iterate rapidly without infrastructure overhead.

Data & State: PostgreSQL with vector embeddings through Supabase. The frontend accesses the database via Supabase\’s REST client. TanStack Query handles server and client state management where appropriate.

AI/LLM Stack: Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph; migrating Python LangGraph services to TypeScript; transitioning from LangSmith to LangFuse for monitoring LLM performance and costs.

AI-Native Development: We leverage AI within development workflows and encourage engineers to have an AI spend above $500 per month. We use Cursor Background-Agents and Claude Code for complex tasks, enabling the product team to ship minor features independently while leaving the most interesting engineering challenges to the technical team.

Qualifications

This is the perfect role for an experienced engineer who wants to join an early-stage company and shape the future of construction with applied AI.

• C1 fluency in German – You’ll navigate complex construction industry jargon and refine prompts or dive into German data to optimize them effectively.
• 2+ years TypeScript and React/Next.js – You can build frontend features without wrestling with fundamentals.
• 1+ years of experience building AI features in the OpenAI and Anthropic era — RAGs, recommendation engines, or agentic workflows with tools like LangChain.
• Ship fast , comfortable wearing multiple hats, and take full ownership of projects.
• Comfortable across the entire stack —from evaluation frameworks and backend services on GCP to launching AI features.
• Eager to shape our product through user feedback, analytics, or own ideas.
• Self-updating , question assumptions, and adjust strategies when learning.
