For one of my Medical Device clients, I am currently looking for a motivated and inspiring Software Team Leader to join their engineering team. In this role, you will combine hands-on embedded software development in C/C++ with technical and people leadership, contributing to customer projects in the medical technology and industrial sectors. Experience with IEC 62304 and regulated medical-device software development is highly valued. Job Responsibilities Develop embedded software in C/C++ for customer projects in the medical technology and industrial sectors, following applicable standards such as IEC 62304. Lead, coach, and support the professional development of the software development team. Plan, prioritize, and coordinate software development resources in collaboration with project managers. Implement hardware-related software on different processor architectures, RTOS platforms, and frameworks. Drive the improvement of software development methods, engineering processes, and workflows. Ensure compliance with development processes, quality standards, and project requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, software architects, and other engineering disciplines while contributing technically to projects. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. Several years of professional experience in software development, preferably in embedded systems. Proven experience in team leadership, people management, coaching, or mentoring. Strong knowledge of C/C++ and embedded software development; experience with RTOS and different processor architectures is an advantage. Good knowledge of IEC 62304 and software development within a regulated medical-device environment; knowledge of ISO 13485 is an advantage. Structured, independent, solution-oriented, and pragmatic approach to work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
