Headquartered in Western Germany, the company maintains a robust European presence with growing international exposure.

Position Summary

The Manager – M&A / Corporate Development (5–8 years) will be a key player within the corporate development team, taking a lead role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions. The role offers full lifecycle exposure across a range of deal types—including platform acquisitions, bolt-ons, carve-outs, joint ventures, and complex special situations. Acting as a strategic interface between senior leadership, operating units, and external partners, the individual will combine transactional expertise with broader strategic and operational insight, with direct access to C-level and board stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution : Drive all phases of the M&A process—from initial screening and strategic assessment to valuation, diligence, negotiation, and post-deal implementation.
  • Stakeholder Coordination : Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors (investment banks, lawyers, consultants), ensuring coordinated execution across all workstreams.
  • Financial Modelling & Valuation : Build and manage robust financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and perform scenario-based valuations to underpin investment decisions.
  • Strategic Due Diligence : Support commercial and operational assessments by analyzing target business models, market positioning, and synergy opportunities in collaboration with internal experts.
  • Executive Communication : Prepare investment memos and board-level presentations to support executive and supervisory decision-making.
  • Integration & Value Realization : Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on post-merger integration, synergy tracking, and value delivery initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated M&A experience across the full deal lifecycle from investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, or a related field (5–8 years).
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, with a solid foundation in investment analysis.
  • Commercially minded and analytically sharp, with a structured approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in navigating cross-functional environments and managing external stakeholders under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Sector familiarity with industrials, logistics, or infrastructure is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; German language skills are highly desirable.
