  • About the Organisation

We are a high-growth, technology-enabled European organisation operating at significant scale across multiple markets.

Our finance function plays a central role in enabling transparent decision-making, robust governance, and disciplined growth.

As the organisation continues to expand in complexity and geographic footprint, we are strengthening senior leadership within Group Finance to ensure high-quality consolidation, reporting, and financial insight at scale.

The Opportunity

As Associate Director, Consolidation and Reporting, you will take end-to-end ownership of the group consolidation and external/internal reporting processes.

You will lead a specialised team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful consolidated financial information, while driving continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls.

This is a highly visible role with close interaction with senior finance leadership, business controllers, and external auditors.

You will play a key part in elevating the quality, efficiency, and strategic value of the organisation’s financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full group consolidation process, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting cycles, driving discipline, quality, and continuous reduction of the close timeline.
  • Oversee intercompany processes, eliminations, and reconciliations across a multi-entity, multi-country environment.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of both external reporting and internal management reporting packages.
  • Lead and develop a team of consolidation and reporting professionals, building technical depth, ownership, and high performance.
  • Drive process optimisation and system enhancements within consolidation and reporting (including ERP and dedicated consolidation/reporting tools).
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders on all consolidation and reporting matters.
  • Strengthen governance, internal controls, and documentation around the consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Partner closely with Group Controlling, FP&A, and local finance teams to ensure alignment and high-quality data flows.
  • Contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives and the evolution of the Group Finance operating model.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in financial consolidation and group reporting within complex, multi-entity organisations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a specialised technical team.
  • Hands-on experience with consolidation and reporting systems (e. g. SAP, One Stream, Hyperion, Tagetik or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of intercompany processes, eliminations, and multi-currency environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with a process improvement orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a strong advantage.

What We Offer

We provide a comprehensive and competitive package designed to support both professional growth and personal well-being. Benefits are tailored to the local market and include:

  • flexible working arrangements (including the possibility of remote work within defined parameters)
  • structured professional development opportunities
  • support for mental health and well-being
  • mobility benefits
  • childcare-related contributions
  • access to sports and health programmes

This is a senior Group Finance role with clear ownership, high visibility, and the opportunity to shape the quality and efficiency of consolidation and reporting in a scaling organisation.
