Description

We are seeking a motivated person to contribute to an innovative research project focused on developing a realistic and modular 3D model of Freiburg’s city center. This role involves 3D modeling, texture design, integration into Unreal Engine, and coding for model functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration and Coding in Unreal Engine: Prepare and adapt the 3D model for seamless integration into Unreal Engine.
• Model Maintenance and Optimization: Update and adjust the model based on evolving project requirements and feedback. Optimize model performance for real-time applications.
• 3D Modeling in Blender: Integrate a detailed, realistic, and modular 3D representation of Freiburg’s city center. Ensure flexibility for elements to be reused or repositioned as needed.

Your Profile:

• Experience with 3D modeling software (preferably Blender).
• Interest in virtual environments, 3D visualization, and research applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.

The position is limited to 3 months on a 50% contract. The salary will be determined in accordance with TV-L E9a.
