Operations Manager, Freight Forwarding

Our client, a global leader in freight forwarding and logistics, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This position will require relocation to Vietnam.

This is a rare opportunity for a driven professional with a background in freight forwarding to step into a high-impact operational role with clear progression to senior leadership within a few years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations, with a key focus on project logistics
• Lead and support a team of 5–6 logistics professionals to ensure service excellence
• Collaborate with local and global teams to deliver customized, cost-effective solutions to clients
• Contribute to business development by supporting key account growth and operational implementation
• Ensure compliance with international logistics standards and company policies

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in freight forwarding operations; background in ocean freight and/or project cargo is highly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities; prior team management experience is a plus
• Strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering client success
• Willingness to relocate to Vietnam and adapt to a new cultural and professional environment
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong asset but not required
