You will play a key role in ensuring accurate freight financial management, optimizing transportation processes, and leveraging analytics to improve visibility, operational performance, and cost efficiency. /ph3What you’ll bring to Alcon: /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. /liliMinimum 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics, transportation management, freight cost control, supply chain finance, business process analytics, or similar functions. /liliExperience working with freight audit and payment processes, transportation service providers, logistics partners, or freight management systems; experience with freight audit providers is highly desirable. /liliStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide practical recommendations to support business performance. /liliAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP, transportation, supply chain, or analytics platforms. /liliProven ability to work effectively across functions and interact with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels. /liliStrong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. /liliAbility to simplify complex processes, standardize solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. /liliStrong attention to detail, financial accuracy, and commitment to quality and compliance. /li /ulh3In this role, a typical day will include: /h3ulliLeading freight audit and payment processes in partnership with external providers, ensuring accurate invoice validation, timely supplier payments, and seamless integration of transportation data into financial systems. /liliManaging freight cost reporting, financial analysis, accrual processes, and transportation performance metrics to provide actionable insights that support business decisions and cost optimization initiatives. /liliActing as the transportation subject matter expert (SME) for AERA and transportation analytics platforms, driving data quality, user adoption, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. /liliCollaborating with Procurement, Transportation, Finance, Accounts Payable, Business Process Analytics (BPA), and external logistics partners to maintain carrier governance, rate administration, compliance, and operational efficiency. /liliLeading and supporting supply chain and transportation projects focused on process improvement, automation, analytics capabilities, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company policies and GxP requirements. /li /ulh3How you can thrive at Alcon: /h3ulliPlay a critical role in shaping transportation cost visibility, analytics capabilities, and operational efficiency across a global supply chain network. /liliGain exposure to cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Transportation, and Commercial Operations while leading impactful projects. /liliJoin a collaborative and innovative environment where continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and professional growth are highly valued. /liliThis role collaborates extensively with global and regional stakeholders and may require occasional travel based on business needs. /liliSponsorship and relocation support may be offered based on business needs and local eligibility requirements. /li /ulpAt Alcon, we are committed to helping people see better.
