Overview

In this role you will own the full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing for Alimentiv, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to support global payroll operations and modernization efforts. You’ll handle complex legislation across jurisdictions, maintain audit trails, and contribute to process improvements that boost workforce trust and data governance. This position offers hands-on exposure to a global shared-services environment and impactful change initiatives.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Execute full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing for Canada, United States, and global EOR jurisdictions with accuracy and timeliness
  • Validate and reconcile payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, deductions) prior to pay runs
  • Prepare and submit government remittances, statutory filings, and year-end reporting (T4s, W-2s)
  • Manage off-cycle and adjustment payrolls with proper documentation and audit trails
  • Maintain payroll records per regulatory retention and data governance standards
  • Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries and escalation point for Payroll Coordinators
  • Collaborate with Finance on reconciliations, journal entries, and budget reporting
  • Coordinate with HRBPs and People Operations on lifecycle events affecting payroll
  • Liaise with external payroll vendors and government agencies on remittance matters and regulatory inquiries
  • Monitor payroll legislation changes and implement updates
  • Prepare documentation for audits and respond to inquiries with accuracy
  • Identify and escalate compliance risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Identify and lead opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Support configuration, testing, and optimization of payroll and HRIS modules
  • Contribute to payroll modernization initiatives including vendor transitions and system implementations
  • Maintain payroll system data governance practices
  • Provide mentoring to Payroll Coordinators and junior staff
  • Develop training materials and process guides to reduce knowledge dependency

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • 4 - 6 years of related experience
  • Post-secondary certificate / diploma
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
