Job Purpose/Role
We are looking for you! To support the growth of our Private Markets Platform, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst (f/m/d) to strenghten our Investment Controlling and Valuation Team in Munich with immediate effect. This position combines a broad range of responsibilities and focuses on the business line of indirect equity and debt investments being the largest pillars of the company’s growing illiquid alternative investments.
You will report into our Head of Private Markets Investment Controlling & Valuation – Indirect Equity and Debt Strategies and will join an experienced team of experts in an international environment.
What you will do
- Oversee and evaluate the investment performance and valuation of both Allianz’s and external investors‘ fund investments, including equity and debt, by thoroughly reviewing quarterly reports and other performance metrics
- Lead the fund investment planning cycle within the Allianz framework. This involves engaging in the Strategic and Planning Dialogue and maintaining close collaboration with investment teams and sponsors to ensure alignment and strategic tolerance
- Advance ACP’s valuation framework through continuous improvement of processes and methodology, ensuring a state-of-the-art and efficient valuation function that meets industry standards
- Faciliate the onboarding of new investment strategies and funds from a valuation perspective, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with overall investment objectives
- Prepare and deliver insightful presentations for senior management, Allianz committees and extenal investors, effectively communicating investment performance, strategies and outcomes
- Conduct market and competitor analysis, providing sector insights and reviewing comparable transactions to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities
What you bring
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a comparable degree program
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in the area of corporate finance or investment/financial controlling – Allianz Group work experience is a plus
- Additional experience in areas like (IFRS) accounting, risk management (Solvency II) or fund investments (Private Equity) is helpful
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint and openness to new digital solutions and first experience in tools such as PowerBI
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working style
- A high level of motivation, excellent communication skills, strong team spirit and willingness to take on responsibility
- Fluent written and spoken English required, working knowledge of German is a plus
