Role Overview We are seeking an IT Automation Specialist (RPA / Workflow) to orchestrate, optimize, and scale our enterprise process automations. In this role, you will be the core technical driver responsible for eliminating manual bottlenecks across business units. You will design and deploy robust robotic processes and workflow automations, ensuring they align perfectly with IT security standards, access governance, and core system architectures.
Strategic Scope Analyzes, models, programs, and monitors automated software bots, script environments, and robotic integration loops to eliminate manual, repetitive back-office and operational workflows.
Core Responsibilities
Process Topology Mapping: Review manual back-office tasks to construct clear automated workflows using standard process notation languages.
Bot Software Development: Code, configure, test, and refine software bots that interface with desktop, web, and legacy terminal interfaces.
Interface Bridge Engineering: Build secure API connections and data extraction routines to exchange information between modern cloud services and old system environments.
Security Compliance Integration: Connect automated bots with standard access management architectures, ensuring secure password and credential management.
Bot Monitor Controls: Set up exception alerts, logging tracking loops, and management dashboards to track bot runtimes and handle execution failures.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on experience in RPA development, intelligent automation, or enterprise workflow automation.
Strong development experience with leading RPA platforms such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate, including Desktop and Cloud Flows.
Experience designing, building, testing and maintaining reliable automation workflows across business applications, databases, APIs and document-processing systems.
Strong experience working with structured and semi-structured data formats, including JSON, XML and CSV.
Good command of string manipulation, regular expressions, data validation and transformation logic.
Ability to write clean SQL queries to extract, validate, manipulate and reconcile data in relational databases.
Good understanding of automation exception handling, logging, credential management, testing, deployment and production support practices.
Experience with document processing, OCR, AI-assisted extraction or intelligent document processing is considered a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed project team, collaborating with data engineers, software developers, architects, analysts and business stakeholders.
Languages
Flawless bilingual/native-level business German communications proficiency (C1/C2 level written and spoken) is required. The candidate must present seamlessly in German during the technical panel interview.
Swiss Compliance Must hold EU/EFTA nationality or possess an active, valid Swiss permanent residency/work card (C Permit or unrestricted B/G Permit).
