We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Specialist to lead data management and analysis initiatives across the organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing data collection, validation, cleansing, integration, and governance processes. This role will also contribute to the development of data-driven strategies, help optimise business performance, and ensure data quality and security standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust data management systems and processes.
• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform complex data analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Maintain and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data workflows, metadata, and data dictionaries.
• Support the integration of new data technologies and tools to enhance capabilities.
• Mentor junior data staff and provide technical expertise across projects.
• Monitor data quality issues and implement improvement strategies.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data manipulation languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Hands-on experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Understanding of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and tools is a plus.
• Certification in data management or analytics (e.g., CDMP, Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is advantageous.
