1. Project Development & External Coordination
- Support the development of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and hybrid energy projects from early-stage development through to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status.
- Assist with grid connection applications and coordinate with Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
- Maintain regular communication with local developers, technical, legal, and environmental consultants.
- Support permitting processes, land agreements, and project-related documentation.
2. Investment & Transaction Support
- Support the acquisition and investment execution of RTB and late-stage projects.
- Assist in preparing financial models, project valuations, and investment memoranda.
- Participate in technical, legal, and commercial due diligence processes.
- Support the preparation of internal investment proposals and decision-making materials for the Investment Committee.
3. Market Research & Professional Development
- Monitor developments in BESS revenue streams, capacity markets, and relevant regulatory policies.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of electricity markets, project economics, and business models.
- Learn to identify key value drivers and risks associated with BESS projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, energy storage, infrastructure, consulting, or investment.
- Basic understanding of project-based businesses, such as project development, infrastructure, or investment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with external stakeholders.
- Strong learning ability, sense of responsibility, and execution skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous exposure to BESS, electricity markets, or grid connection processes.
- Basic knowledge of financial modeling or investment analysis.
- Proficiency in a second European language, such as German or Spanish, is preferred.
- Knowledge of additional European languages is considered an advantage.
