ppJob Description: /ph3JOB PURPOSE /h3pUnder the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Petfood Delivery Driver is responsible for coordinating and directing the programs and functions for LANI in accordance with established Federal, State, and Local guidelines and company policies. The Petfood Delivery Driver is responsible for performing all assigned duties necessary to safely obtain and ship quality products for LANI customers. /ph3DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES /h3ulliCommunicates with vendors or customers for the purpose of ensuring timely delivery of ingredients or flour. /liliDeliver or pick up products according to the production schedule. /liliRelay information to Logistics Manager and mill staff on scheduled deliveries. /liliReport extrusion plant progress to determine schedule of product. /liliWork to maintain and confirm appropriate paperwork for bulk truck shipments. /liliAssist with training new drivers. /liliMaintain accurate truck logs daily. /liliOversee and maintain equipment records. /liliLoad and unload trucks. /liliMaintains communication with Mill Manager and Logistics Manager. /liliOperates equipment on truck and trailer to load, unload or disperse cargo. /liliAdjust truck weights according to safety requirements. /liliMake sure proper samples are taken of the delivered product along with proper paperwork. /liliExecute all required transactions on I-Control hardware for inbound and outbound loads. /liliMaintain and ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. /liliBe aware and follow all DOT regulations. /liliReport needed repairs of trucks and trailers. /liliAble to operate a forklift when needed. /liliReport human and food safety hazards. /liliResponsibility to identify and communicate food safety and/or product integrity issues to appropriate personnel. /liliFollow GMP, HACCP and SQF procedures. /liliExceptional customer service skills. /liliOther duties as assigned. /liliBe available to help in all other departments when asked upon by your department manager. /liliRegular, predictable attendance is required and is an essential function of the position. /li /ulh3QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS /h3ulli(TO perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
