The role
At Alpine Business Consulting, we focus on reality rather than flashy presentations. Many companies invest millions in enterprise performance management and reporting tools only to find their systems are incorrectly configured. This leads to finance teams working with data they do not trust. We step in to fix these implementations, creating a single source of truth that allows businesses to close their books on time and plan for the future with accuracy.
Currently, we are engaged with a major logistics firm that requires an overhaul of their reporting interfaces. This logistics client manages complex global supply chains and needs clear, web-based dashboards that reflect their financial health in real time. We are adding an Associate Web Developer to our team to help build and maintain these web components. This is a permanent, full-time position that is 100 percent remote. You will work directly with our senior consultants, helping to turn complex data requirements into clean, functional web interfaces that the client can actually use.
What you will do
Your day to day work involves the practical side of web development within a consulting framework. While our senior consultants handle the high level system architecture and data modeling, you will focus on the front end and configuration tasks that make that data accessible. Your responsibilities will include:
We do not expect you to be an expert in enterprise performance management systems yet, but we do expect a solid foundation in web fundamentals and a disciplined approach to your work. We are looking for following attributes:
Alpine Business Consulting is built on transparency and predictability. We provide fixed-price quotes to our clients, which means we prioritize efficient, honest work over billing as many hours as possible. Every project ends with a thorough handover, ensuring the client is independent and well-trained. Because all our consultants have years of real-world experience, you will be learning from people who have seen every common implementation mistake and know how to avoid them.
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive. We believe in providing a professional environment where the focus is on the quality of the configuration and the reliability of the data. This is a paid role, and we offer a salary that is competitive for the market and the level of the position. You will have the opportunity to work on high stakes projects, like the current engagement with our logistics partner, gaining exposure to complex enterprise systems that are the backbone of global business operations.

While our senior consultants handle the high level system architecture and data modeling, you will focus on the front end and configuration tasks that make that data accessible. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining user-facing web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Configuring dashboard layouts within specialized reporting tools to meet the specific needs of the logistics firm.
- Assisting senior consultants in translating financial reporting requirements into functional web pages.
- Writing clear documentation for every component you build so that the client can manage the system after our handover.
- Testing web components for accuracy and ensuring they display data correctly across different browsers.
- Participating in remote team meetings to update progress and discuss technical requirements.
- Refining existing web forms and data entry portals to improve speed and reliability for the end users.
We do not expect you to be an expert in enterprise performance management systems yet, but we do expect a solid foundation in web fundamentals and a disciplined approach to your work. We are looking for following attributes:
- A basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web styling frameworks and a focus on building clean, readable code.
- A detailed approach to work: since we deal with financial data for a major logistics firm, accuracy is more important than speed.
- The ability to follow technical instructions and ask clarifying questions when a requirement is unclear.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills, specifically for creating technical documentation and configuration guides.
- An interest in how data is structured and how it flows from a database to a user interface.
- Reliability in a fully remote environment, including the ability to manage your time and meet deadlines without someone looking over your shoulder.
