About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized firm that steps in when enterprise performance management and reporting systems fail to deliver. Many companies invest heavily in complex planning tools only to find that the initial setup was handled poorly, leaving finance teams with data they cannot trust and processes that take weeks to finish. We fix these systems by focusing on proper configuration and clear documentation. Our team consists of professionals who have spent years working with systems like Oracle EPM and SAP BPC. We do not use client projects as a training ground for junior staff. Instead, we provide real-world experience to solve specific technical problems.
We are currently supporting a major German automotive and technology group as they refine their internal reporting systems. Our goal is to create a single source of truth for their finance and operations teams. To support this work, we are looking for a Project Planning Assistant to help manage the organization and documentation of our consulting engagements. This is a permanent, full time position and is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location while collaborating with a distributed team of experts.
The role
As a Project Planning Assistant, your primary focus is to ensure that our projects remain organized and predictable. You will work directly with our senior consultants to track project milestones and manage the vast amount of documentation created during a system overhaul. Large scale implementations involve many moving parts, and your job is to keep those parts synchronized. You are responsible for maintaining the project schedule and ensuring that we meet our fixed price commitments to the client.
We value transparency and directness. You will not be asked to create fluff or decorative presentations. Your work will center on practical tools: project logs, configuration guides, and status reports that actually mean something to the client. Because this is an entry level role, we do not expect you to be an expert in enterprise software, but we do expect you to be organized and willing to learn how these systems function in a corporate environment.
What you will do
This position is a paid role with a salary that is competitive for the entry level market. You will receive direct mentorship from senior consultants who have extensive experience in the field, providing a unique perspective on how business systems are built and managed. Working here means you will be part of a team that values honesty over corporate posturing. Since the role is fully remote, you have the flexibility to manage your work environment while still being an integral part of a high performing group. We prioritize a sustainable work life balance and focus on meeting our project goals without unnecessary overtime.
How we work
At Alpine Business Consulting, we believe that a project is only successful if the client can run it themselves once we leave. We avoid the typical consulting model of creating dependency. Instead, we focus on clean data, reliable configuration, and documentation that actually works for the end user. Our approach is based on transparency and predictability. We tell our clients the truth about their systems and then we do the work to fix them. As a Project Planning Assistant, you help us maintain this reputation by keeping our projects disciplined and our documentation thorough.
