Alpine Business Consulting
About the role
Alpine Business Consulting is currently supporting a major logistics partner that requires precise, accessible internal systems to manage their reporting structures. Our team focuses on fixing systems that have become overly complicated or unreliable. For this role, we are looking for a Website Development Internship candidate who can support the technical side of our documentation and client portal management. This is a fully remote position where you will work closely with our senior consultants to ensure that the tools we build for our clients remain functional, documented, and easy to navigate.
We do not believe in building complex websites just for the sake of it. Our goal is to provide a single source of truth for every company we work with. In this internship, you will help us maintain these platforms, ensuring that configuration guides and performance data are always available to the people who need them. This role is a paid position, offering a competitive rate for the internship market. You will have the chance to contribute to real projects from your own home office without the need for commuting or office presence.
What you will be doing
In this role, your daily tasks will involve a mix of maintenance, content management, and basic front-end development. You will support our logistics project by keeping their reporting portals updated and ensuring the technical documentation is properly formatted and accessible. You will spend a significant amount of your time working within content management systems and standard web frameworks to keep our client-facing tools running smoothly.
  • Update and maintain company and client-facing web portals to ensure data is displayed accurately.
  • Support the deployment of new documentation hubs for our major logistics partner projects.
  • Assist in the configuration of web-based reporting tools to ensure they align with our fixed price project goals.
  • Review site performance and fix minor bugs or layout issues across various browser environments.
  • Help organize technical configuration guides into logical, searchable online databases.
  • Collaborate with consultants to translate complex reporting requirements into simple, functional web interfaces.
  • Participate in regular team syncs to discuss project milestones and technical roadblocks in a remote environment.
  • Draft clean, well-organized code for internal tools that help our team manage project timelines.
  • Ensure all web assets align with the company commitment to transparency and clean data.
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who is early in their technical career and eager to apply their knowledge to professional consulting projects. You do not need years of professional experience, but you should have a solid understanding of how websites are built and maintained. We value clear communication and a methodical approach to solving problems over flashy designs or buzzwords.
  • Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with at least one common content management system or static site generator.
  • An understanding of how to document technical processes for others to follow.
  • A high level of attention to detail when it comes to site layouts and data entry.
  • Basic knowledge of web accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own tasks while working remotely.
  • Comfortable working with version control systems like Git.
  • A willingness to learn about enterprise performance management and why reporting accuracy matters.
  • Reliable internet access and a suitable remote work setup to participate in video discussions.
Working at Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting is not your typical high-pressure consultancy. We are a specialized team that values fixed prices, predictable outcomes, and real-world experience. Our consultants have spent decades in the field, and we aim to provide that same level of grounded, practical knowledge to our interns. We avoid the fluff and corporate jargon that often plagues this industry, focusing instead on delivering systems that work and then stepping back once the handover is complete.
Because we operate as a fully remote team, we prioritize clear documentation and asynchronous communication. You will be treated as a professional from the start. We do not use our clients as a training ground for junior staff in high-stakes areas, but we do provide interns with the support and documentation they need to handle their own area of responsibility successfully. Our focus is always on the single source of truth, both in the data we provide to our logistics partners and in how we communicate within our own team.
We believe that a proper configuration is better than a complex workaround. As an intern, you will learn to appreciate the value of clean data and reliable systems. You will see how a major logistics operation relies on the portals you help maintain to make daily decisions. This role provides a practical look at how enterprise-level consulting works while allowing you to develop your technical skills in a professional, remote setting.
