pSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: /p pbDate: /b5 Oct 2026 /p pbCompany: /bAlstom /p h3bPurpose of the Role /b /h3 pThe bValidation Engineer – Train Level /b is responsible for preparing and executing bverification and validation (VV) activities at train level /b for bAsset Life Management (ALM) /b projects, including modernization, retrofit and life‑extension programs. /p pThe role ensures that the modernized train complies with bsystem requirements, safety, quality and customer expectations /b, in line with Alstom processes, railway standards and project objectives. /p h3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3 ul liDefine and implement the btrain-level validation strategy /b for ALM projects, in accordance with the V‑cycle and Alstom VV methodology /li liAnalyze system, subsystem and interface requirements, including: ul liLegacy configurations /li liModernized or upgraded solutions /li /ul /li liPrepare, maintain and deliver VV documentation: ul liTrain-Level Validation Plan /li liTest Strategy, Test Procedures and Test Cases /li liValidation Reports and evidence /li liRequirements-to-tests traceability /li /ul /li liPlan, coordinate and execute train-level tests: ul liFunctional and integration tests on test benches /li liStatic and dynamic tests on train /li liOn‑site, lab or depot testing activities /li /ul /li liCoordinate closely with: ul liSystem Engineering, Safety Engineer /li liInstallation Commissioning /li liProject team /li /ul /li liIdentify, analyze and manage anomalies and non-conformities: ul liRoot cause analysis /li liCorrective action follow‑up /li liSupport to closure and validation sign‑off /li /ul /li liParticipate in formal project reviews: ul liTest Readiness Reviews /li liValidation Reviews /li liCustomer or third‑party assessments /li /ul /li liEnsure compliance with: ul liAlstom Quality and Engineering processes /li liApplicable railway standards and contractual requirements /li /ul /li liContribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement for ALM validation activities /li /ul h3bQualifications Experience /b /h3 h3bEducation /b /h3 ul liMaster’s degree or Engineering degree in:br/ ul liElectrical / Electronic Engineering /li liSystems Engineering, Automation or equivalent /li /ul /li /ul h3bProfessional Experience /b /h3 ul liSeveral years of experience inbVerification Validation /borbSystem / Train-Level Engineering /bin the railway domain /li liTrain-level testing and validation /li liModernization, retrofit or legacy fleet projects (ALM experience is an advantage) /li /ul h3bTechnical Skills /b /h3 ul liGood understanding ofbrolling stock train-level systems /b, such as: ul liTCMS /li liTraction and Braking /li liDoors, HVAC /li liInterfaces with signalling and auxiliary systems /li /ul /li liStrong knowledge of: ul liV‑cycle development and VV processes /li liSystem integration and interface management /li /ul /li liFamiliarity with railway standards: ul libEN 50126 / EN 50128 / EN 50129 /b /li /ul /li liAbility to read, understand and apply: ul liSystem specifications /li liTrain architectures /li liInterface control documents /li /ul /li liExperience with engineering and VV tools (depending on project context): ul liRequirements management tools (DOORS) /li liTest management and defect tracking tools /li /ul /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills /li liStructured, rigorous and quality‑oriented mindset /li liAbility to work autonomously while coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams /li liGood communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers /li liWillingness to work on‑site during testing and commissioning phases /li liProactive attitude and sense of accountability /li /ul h3bLanguages /b /h3 ul libFluent in French and English (mandatory) /b /li liAdditional languages (e.g. German, Italian) are an asset depending on project environment /li /ul h3bAdditional Assets /b /h3 ul liExperience with legacy fleets or operational constraints /li liKnowledge of Safety or RAM processes /li liAvailability for occasional to recurrent project‑related travels /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
