Overview
In this Safety Assurance role, you drive the assurance of railway products and systems to meet defined safety standards. You will coordinate safety activities across projects, build safety reports, and defend safety arguments with internal and external assessors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into tendering and project delivery, enabling sustainable, safe mobility solutions. You will lead safety analyses, risk assessments, and 8D actions to resolve issues, contributing to Alstom’s mission of solving real-world mobility challenges. This is a globally impactful role at a company delivering end-to-end transport systems and digital mobility solutions.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Coordinate Safety Assurance activities per project Safety Process
- Perform safety analyses, manage Hazard Log, RAM, Cyber, V&V, and TC from a safety perspective
- Define and manage safety plan and workload planning
- Support tenders and RC teams to integrate product/system in projects
- Prepare Safety Reports and Safety Cases
- Apply project-specific safety methodologies and verification/validation
- Organize and participate in periodic Safety Reviews
- Defend Safety Case arguments to internal and external assessors; manage corrective actions
- Oversee Safety Assurance Engineers on the project
- Lead 8D steps as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in safety assurance, including 2 years in Railway
- Excellent knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent such as AREMA, IEEE) and safety methodologies
