Electrical Engineer (EI&C) – Life Sciences
We’re currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the EI&C (Electrical, Instrumentation and Control) team of one of ALTEN’s clients.
Responsibilities:
- General planning of electrical consumers: Determination of requirements and planning of the arrangement of electrical consumption units.
- Execution: Preparation of electrical floor plans, detailed electrical schematics, and outgoing circuit lists for the switchboards in the electrical room.
- Drives and frequency converter drives: Planning of motor systems and suitable systems for frequency converter drives.
- Execution: Preparation of detailed electrical schematics and parameter lists for frequency converters.
- Power supply and UPS systems: Planning of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and identifying solutions for suitable backup power systems.
- Execution: Preparation of detailed electrical schematics and outgoing circuit lists. The required drawings are integrated into the electrical floor plans.
- Lightning protection and equipotential bonding: Design of lightning protection systems and creation of equipotential bonding plans.
- Execution: Detailed systems for lightning protection and equipotential bonding are created, and all drawings are integrated into the electrical floor plans.
- Requirements for planning: Access to architectural floor plans, electrical requirements, norms and standards, consumption and load data, construction site information, specific client requests, and coordination with other trades.
Your profile:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in electrical design and planning for commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with other departments and clients.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a project-driven environment.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, COMOS, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
- Proficient in English and/or German to competently communicate in our diverse, collaborative environment.
