Air Export Operator – Frankfurt Gateway (Consolidation Team)

Frankfurt | Salary: €42,000 – €48,000 | Mid-sized Global Forwarder

Altius Talent is hiring on behalf of a well-established global freight forwarder looking to strengthen their Air Export Gateway team in Frankfurt. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an export consol team of 8 professionals, handling consolidated airfreight shipments to key global destinations.

The Role:

As an Air Export Operator, you’ll be part of the gateway team responsible for managing the full operational export process – from booking and documentation to consolidation planning and final shipment execution. You\’ll work closely with global offices, airlines, and internal departments to ensure smooth handling and timely departures of airfreight consol shipments.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage full end-to-end export operations for consolidated airfreight shipments
• Prepare and review export documentation (AWBs, HAWBs, customs declarations)
• Coordinate with overseas offices, airline partners, and ground handlers
• Plan and build consol shipments efficiently based on customer and route requirements
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and internal procedures
• Use of common industry systems (CargoWise, ATLAS, etc.)

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in airfreight export operations (ideally within a gateway/consolidation environment)
• Strong understanding of airfreight documentation and export processes
• Confident communicator with a proactive and hands-on mindset
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting
• Fluent German is essential

Working Hours & Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
• One Saturday shift per month required (typically a half-day)
• If working Saturday, a compensatory day off will be given the following week (usually Monday)
