Airfreight Specialist in Frankfurt am Main

We’re partnering with a growing freight forwarder looking to appoint an Airfreight Specialist in Frankfurt. This is an opportunity for an experienced airfreight professional to take ownership of shipments and play a key role in a developing operation.

The Role

• Manage airfreight import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, transport providers and customs partners.
• Prepare and check shipping documentation, including air waybills.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve operational issues and keep customers informed.
• Arrange collections and deliveries, ensuring customer requirements and deadlines are met.
• Handle quotations, negotiate supplier rates and maintain accurate shipment costs.
• Complete invoicing and ensure shipment files are closed accurately.
• Build strong customer relationships and support improvements as the business grows.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous airfreight operations experience within a freight forwarding business.
• A good understanding of airfreight procedures, documentation and customs requirements.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• The ability to manage shipments independently and prioritise a busy workload.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
