About the role

The Associate Director, Brand Management RTE (Ready-to-Eat portfolio) will play a key role in scaling our Ready-to-Eat brands (Factor_ & YouFoodz) across HelloFresh Group’s International Markets. This role will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and growth in our Ready-to-Eat product category. These strategies will define target audiences, brand guidelines, and key messaging, translating these into marketing plans in collaboration with local teams.

The role supports our Factor_ brand across European markets and Youfoodz as a single-market brand in Australia. As part of the International Brand team, this position acts as a connector between local Factor_ teams, Product, Product Marketing, Brand Management for Meal Kit brands, Growth/Channel teams, and Consumer Insights. The role is based in Berlin, with frequent travel to Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in shaping brands, driving brand equity, and maintaining consistent brand experiences across all touchpoints to foster growth. Given our RTE portfolio\’s growth and the structure of the Factor_ EU team, the individual must work in an agile, entrepreneurial manner to support local teams and leverage central resources.

The Associate Director reports to the Senior Director, Brand Strategy and Marketing, as part of the International Brand team.

What you’ll do

  1. Strategic Brand Development:
  • Refine and augment the Factor_ brand positioning with Sr Director Marketing Factor_EU and local Growth Leads for product/market fit in Europe.
  • Define the portfolio roles of RTE alongside Meal Kit brands in international markets to grow market share and revenue.
  • Develop RTE category insights, including trends, competitors, and customer needs, in partnership with Market Research and Insights teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across markets and brands.
  • Brand Identity and Messaging:
    • Oversee evolution of visual identity, packaging, messaging, and tone of voice in collaboration with Creative and North America teams.
    • Partner with creative teams and local Growth Leads to ensure brand consistency across channels and campaigns.
    • Develop key messaging, competitive claims, and proof points to differentiate our brands, collaborating with Product Marketing.
  • Marketing Campaigns:
    • Support local teams in delivering localized marketing plans across channels, PR, events, and activations, briefing assets to creative and agency partners.
    • Define media strategies and optimize creative and performance in consultation with Channel and Growth Leads for maximum efficiency.
  • Brand Performance & Brand Equity Measurement:
    • Monitor brand health and competitive positioning with Insights teams.
    • Identify opportunities for product innovation or marketing based on performance data.
    • Matrix Operating Model:
    • Create best practices to ensure speed and efficiency as the RTE marketing model evolves.
    • Lead with agility, coordinating quickly across teams and leveraging central resources while maintaining entrepreneurial flexibility.

    What you’ll bring

    • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
    • Proven experience in brand management with successful growth strategies.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, adept at working in a matrix organization.
    • Experience in devising impactful strategies in consumer tech businesses at scale.
    • Exceptional strategic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Deep knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and competition.
    • Agile, entrepreneurial working style suitable for scale-up environments.
