Our Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice focuses on helping private equity firms improve financial and operational results at their portfolio companies. We advise on carve-outs, operational change, and performance improvement initiatives, supporting both short- and long-term transformational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing diagnostics using analytical and qualitative insights to identify opportunities for performance transformation.
• Implementing transformation plans focused on EBITDA and working capital improvements.
• Leading buy-side and sell-side carve-out projects, recognizing cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Evaluating pre-deal carve-out situations, including perimeter, complexity, costs, and risks.
• Leading post-acquisition carve-out implementation, including Day-1 readiness, TSA management, exit planning, and transition to standalone operations.
• Ensuring operational due diligence reports are realized swiftly, with clear growth and cost reduction paths.
• Managing 100-day planning processes during carve-outs, mergers, and synergies realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s degree from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience in buy-side and sell-side carve-out services.
• Proven track record in leading operational change in international contexts.
• Experience managing teams and delivering transformational projects pre- and post-deal.
• Deep understanding of the private equity lifecycle and relevant network.
• Knowledge of operational KPIs, Balanced Scorecards, and continuous performance improvement processes.
• Experience with project management tools and change management methodologies.
• Ability to resolve complex operational and financial problems, including cost reductions and operational improvements.
• Fluency in English and German (native level) in both written and verbal communication.
