The role
We want to run a media studio inside the company: daily content about the second half of life and how families grow older together, where the product is the proof, not the subject. You keep the machine's output moving: what the crew shoots and cuts, you package, schedule, publish, and learn from. You're the person who knows what's trending before the format meeting does, and the first to know whether yesterday's post worked.
This is a junior role with a real seat at the table: you're in the daily trend research and the format meeting, and your findings shape what gets shot this week.
What you'll own
- Trend research, daily: scan TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube in the family/generations lane — sounds, formats, hooks, creators. Bring a shortlist to the format meeting every day with a take on why each candidate fits us
- Publishing: schedule and publish across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn via our scheduling stack, right format, right specs, right time, from the content buffer
- Packaging: captions, hashtags, cover frames, and post copy that fit each platform, drafted with our writing pipeline and checked against the brand's wording rules
- Performance loop: a simple weekly read of what worked — reach, retention, shares, saves — reported into the format meeting so formats get iterated or retired on evidence
- Community support: back up our engagement role in the first hour after posts, flag comment threads that could become content, escalate anything sensitive by the playbook
- Channel hygiene: profiles, bios, links, highlights, and pinned content stay current on every channel
What you bring
- You live on the platforms: you can explain why a format is working this week, not just that it is
- First experience running social accounts — an internship, a Werkstudent role, a brand you grew, or your own account with numbers to show
- Native German and fluent English; you can write a caption in both without it reading translated
- Care and precision: wrong specs, broken links, or an off-brand caption bother you before anyone tells you
- A warm register by default. Our content earns trust about people's parents — no irony at the expense of older adults, ever
- Organized enough to run a posting calendar across five channels without dropping one
Nice to have
- Comfort on camera (our crew appears in its own formats; joining them is optional but welcome)
- First experience with CapCut or basic editing for last-mile fixes
- Metricool/ Later/ Buffer or similar scheduling/analytics tools
- A grandparent you actually call
