Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 – the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

We are looking for a Computer Vision & Robotics Engineer (F/H/X) to join our team based in Zürich. You will be responsible of driving technical projects from ideation to implementation in the fields of computer vision and robotics.

Your missions:
Drive technical projects from ideation to implementation in the fields of computer vision and robotics

Develop and optimize algorithms for camera pose estimation, 3D geometry, multi-view geometry, and SLAM techniques

Implement and improve object detection, tracking, segmentation, and perception systems

Integrate and calibrate sensors, perform sensor fusion, and state estimation (e.g., Kalman/Extended Kalman Filtering)

Develop robust software solutions using modern C++ in a Linux environment

Utilize Python and its scientific stack (numpy, scipy, etc.) for prototyping and data analysis

Apply containerization technologies such as Docker for deployment and scalability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions

Your profile:
You have a strong engineering background: MS or PhD in Computational Science, Physics, Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Vision, or similar fields

You have experience with camera pose estimation, 3D/multi-view geometry, stereo-vision, sensor calibration/fusion, state estimation, or SLAM techniques

You have experience in object detection, tracking, segmentation, change detection, and perception

You are proficient in modern C++ development within a Linux environment

You are proficient in Python and scientific libraries (numpy, scipy, etc.)

You have experience with containerization technologies (Docker)

You have a good understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization

Experience with image processing, computer vision, or complex frame transformation problems is a nice to have

Experience with streaming frameworks (e.g., gstreamer sdk, nvidia deepstream sdk) (nice to have)

Experience with high performance/parallel/multi-threaded programming (e.g., GPGPU, CUDA) (nice to have)

You are fluent in English.

You have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and are proactive, reliable, and a team player
