Power Electronics Engineer F/M/X

We are seeking a talented Power Electronics Engineer F/M/X to join our team in Berlin and contribute to the development of advanced auxiliary converters for railway and bus systems. This role focuses on designing reliable, efficient, and safe solutions that power critical subsystems like lighting, ventilation, and communication in public transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Lead the creation of cutting-edge auxiliary converters using advanced technologies, including Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductors, to achieve optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Component Specification and Supplier Collaboration: Define and source critical components in collaboration with suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical and industry standards.
• Validation and Testing: Conduct rigorous testing and validation to confirm performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of developed converters.
• Production Support: Facilitate the transition from design to production, supporting initial series testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.
• Customer-Centric Solutions: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, tailoring converter designs to meet specific needs and enhance system performance.
• Service and Repair Support: Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues during the lifecycle of converters, ensuring long-term reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to standardizing components and processes for scalability and innovation.

Your Profile:

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a PhD in Power Electronics is advantageous.
• You have over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing power electronics, with a focus on auxiliary power systems for transportation.
• You have knowledge of SiC semiconductors and their application in advanced converter designs.
• You have strong technical communication skills in both German and English, with a structured, goal-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• You are capable of working independently and collaboratively in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
• You have in-depth knowledge of power electronics and familiarity with industry standards in railway and bus systems.
• You possess effective troubleshooting skills with a focus on delivering sustainable solutions.
