Overview
Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEF) for Berlin/Brandenburg - Data Centers - European Sovereign Cloud at Amazon Web Services.
This is a full-time on-site position offering growth opportunities.
The role focuses on planning and operating electrical infrastructure for data centers, with collaboration across planning, installation, and operations.
Occasional international travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Act as Responsible Electrical Safety Officer for the operation of AWS data centers in Berlin/Brandenburg, ensuring legally compliant electrical engineering operations in operations and maintenance.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty shifts.
- Select and, where applicable, supervise suitable workers and supervisory personnel.
- Issue switching authorizations and work instructions.
- Coordinate occupational safety and workflows, including briefings, training, and ensuring standards-compliant condition of work equipment.
- Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure proper inspection and validation of installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Support operational processes, including fault and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting, and review of operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers.
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- National of an EU member state.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data center engineering or operations.
- Experience leading change in a multi-site environment.
