Do you want to work on the world‑largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure? We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to operate and maintain all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within our data centers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center/facility.
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all data center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution, and other aspects of data center support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
- Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment covered under level I, as well as certified tasks such as fiber‑optic installation, electrical certification, HVAC repair (training/certification), UPS and generator certifications and training.
- Assist in the deployment of new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and related tasks as necessary.
- Respond to internal rack customer maintenance, repair, and expansion requests through the ticketing system.
- Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
- Maintain changes in state of mission‑critical infrastructure to support corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Review the test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
- Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
- This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including life safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
- Experience in project management for data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
